Jason Elrod is a Puget Sound region native who has worked in commercial real estate development and client investments for more than 15 years. During that time, he has worked on retail, residential, and multifamily development projects from San Diego to Seattle.

While in San Diego, Jason worked to improve central city business districts, neighborhoods and public spaces in his development work and through public service. Jason was appointed by the Mayor of San Diego to serve on the board of the Balboa Park Committee and was elected to the Redevelopment Project Area Committee for Downtown San Diego.

One residential project he developed there earned him Builder magazine’s Golden Nugget Grand Award for a townhome project that “combines inspired architecture and creative floor plans to set a high standard for city living.”

At Urban Commercial Partners, Jason brings his depth of commercial real estate and development knowledge as well as client services to help his clients define and capture their goals.

Jason is a graduate of the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, and the Commercial Real Estate program at the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies at UW.

He loves to fly, piloting his own plane from its hangar at Boeing Field to runways across the Pacific Northwest with friends and family. He currently lives on Capitol Hill with his wife and children.

  • Where to go for a memorable Seattle restaurant experience: Get yourself on a patio outside on a sunny day
  • What Husky memory stands out: The 2001 Rose Bowl when Tui led the Dawgs to victory over Drew Brees’ Boilermakers
  • Where I travel to really get away: Orcas Island
  • What makes me happy when I’m not working: Family first – but flying is my passion – so any day with my family in our plane checks both boxes
  • What Urban Commercial Partners means to me: Commitment
  • Why I work in our industry: Anytime you open eyes to alternative solutions and paths to success. That final, finished deal that wasn’t obvious in the first meeting is incredible to see.
